RV reno work BEFORE & AFTERS

We have lived in our camper for two years and we have made small changes over time to make it feel more like home and work for our current needs. We bought our camper used, and it had been kept in good condition.

We removed the window valances/cornice boards and it really opened up the view out of the window and brightened the inside some more.

My dear friend in Estes Park helped me to sew curtains to fit the living room camper windows. Thanks, Faith!! Our most recent change was getting a new table and bench set that can tuck away more compact than a table and chairs. It has opened up more floor space for us with chairs not sticking out anymore and we can fit 4 adults plus our kiddo at it when family stays with us. There is no designated pantry space so each cabinet in the main living area has pantry food in it. The overhead cabinets do, the cabinet doors behind the chair Hayden is sitting in. And one of the kitchen cabinets has food.

While in Myrtle Beach we knew we would be having family stay some nights with us in our camper. We haven't really been set up to host family or friends before. I have had mom friends over a few times with their kiddos for an hour or two, but overnight guests add a different dimension in already a tiny space. We have been excited to make it happen and host family in our humble home! We found these two folding chairs for added seating. The chairs fold flat and both fit underneath the love seat side by side to put away when no guests are here.

One project I wanted to do from the beginning, but took two years for us to finally get to was the fridge look. It had dark wood panels on it making the kitchen look even darker than it already was. I saw other full time RV families replaced there's with sheet metal. Sheet metal is much more lightweight than the wood panels the fridge came with (weight always matters when changing things in an RV). The metal would also be magnetic for another place to put family pictures. There is not much empty wall space or flat surfaces for picture frames. I love how it turned out! It does brighten up the space more too.
