| I loved sitting along the river while waiting for our little guy to arrive. |
It has felt like a dream to live in Estes Park. There are so many more places we want to travel to and experience, but for now we are soaking up being amidst God's beautiful creation in the mountains. There are always elk and deer roaming around and in our yard. The views of the mountains never get old. The water sounds of the river and lake are peaceful to walk along. There are hiking trails galore within 10 minutes from us. This small town gets quite crowded in summer with tourism, but we accept that because we were once tourists too and want people to enjoy this beauty we get to see every day. We've learned the right times and places for best chances of avoiding the crowds.
This video shows some mountain views and the lake when first driving into town.
As you can see the last time I wrote was our announcement of a little one on the way. 6 months ago our little Colorado native baby was born on his Halloween due date. He's brought so much joy and laughter and sweet smiles into our life. We enjoy having him along in our Colorado adventures. We're so happy with our decision to stay in Colorado for this time, and our family has some exciting changes in the next couple months. No, not another baby (had to clear that up quickly).
I'll post later this week about our exciting upcoming changes!
For those of you sweet friends who are new to our blog, feel free to enjoy looking back over any older posts to check out our first Colorado adventures or the places we traveled for Caleb to be a travel nurse: Arizona, Hawaii, South Carolina, Anchorage & Barrow Alaska, Maine, North Dakota
Or hang tight for more blog posts as I write to document our Heavner family adventures to come.
