After two years of continuing to think about this idea, we have finally purchased an RV. I can't tell you how many times over the past two years we went back and forth between the idea of a Class A motorhome, a 5th wheel and truck, or a travel trailer and truck for being the best option for us. This is what we decided on for our first purchase! It is a 35 foot travel trailer and the owner was selling the truck too which worked perfectly for us.
This is called a front loading toy hauler. There is a ramp door which you see on the front side here which can open for recreational toys like 4-wheeler, golf cart, motorcycle etc they wanted to store in there during transit. We won't be using it for that purpose, but liked this setup because the garage afforded us a second sleeping space which we can use as our little guy's bedroom. **Update: Yes, it is open up with the rest of the trailer so he's not stuck away in a garage we can't access. :) Had some people ask so had to clarify this.** There are two bunk beds which can fold up while he's still sleeping in a crib setup or we can leave them down to use as extra storage space if needed. We are excited to have our first RV home and can't wait to do some small modifications to it these next couple months and make it our home.

We will be posting Before and After photos as we make some small cosmetic changes and modifications this summer. It is parked at another nurse's house in Estes Park, and we will move into it towards the end of summer. For now we will stay in Estes Park as we have some more Colorado mountain fun!

That is fantastic! That way you can pick up and move anytime. And so smart to use that extra space as a bedroom.
