We are in a blizzard! It's not quite as extreme as I visualized a blizzard to be. It still is neat to be watching blizzard conditions out our window. Snow is blowing around in gusts of wind. It looks so festively cold outside. Here is the definition for "blizzard" when I typed it in Google.
blizzard
Noun
- A severe snowstorm with high winds and low visibility.
- An overabundance; a deluge.

Here is another definition of a blizzard. This is a direct quote from an article on Texas A&M's online newspaper tamutimes.tamu.edu
“In meteorological terms, a blizzard is a severe storm that has below freezing temperatures, winds of at least 35 miles per hour and heavy snowfall, with visibility reduced to no less than one-fourth of a mile,” he explains. “All of these conditions have to last at least three hours. So just a heavy snowfall is not always a blizzard."

| This picture went with the article cited above. It's a pretty good representation of what we see when we look out our window. Snow blowing around everywhere in gusts of wind. |
