From what I have been told, Collin seems to be doing alright since receiving the stem cells. Something that is pretty nifty is the donor had a different blood type than him so he was O negative, but now his new blood type will be A positive. Isn't it amazing how God designed our bodies and how a cord blood donor could be a different blood type but still be the right kind of match for Collin. How many people get to have two different blood types in their lifetime? Pretty cool, huh :)
One other prayer request is for the baby Owen. He has had to transition right now from nursing to formula in a bottle, and he's not taking it too well. Many friends have been helping with Owen since Suzanne has had surgery. Tomorrow night I am staying the night at their house to help feed Owen during the night. He still needs to be eating every 2 hours so please pray that he is able to get the nutrition that he needs right now and to put on a little more weight.
Thank you to all who are loving on this family and pouring out your support and prayers.
Even with all the hard news of health problems and cancer I still keep coming back to one verse which God has given us in His word
Psalm 139:14.
I PRAISE you, for I am fearfully and WONDERFULLY MADE.
Wonderful are you works; my soul knows it very well.
How sweet to know God has made us to be exactly who we are, and it's incredible to see how God has created the body to sustain and fight off infection and diseases through the use of medicine and prayer and FAITH.
