Collin's mom Suzanne is scheduled to have surgery on Wednesday. Suzanne shared her thoughts and what she specifically would like prayer for. Thank you all who have been lifting this family up in prayer. Below is Suzanne's words.
-Most of all, pray that the mass will be benign despite the scans showing evidence to the contrary. Pray for Results back from lab by Friday and that they will be definitive.
-From the MRI it appears that the mass is fully contained. Pray that this is the case and that it has not spread to any surrounding organs, tissue, or lymph nodes.
-The mass is pressed up against the vena-cava, a major vein. Pray for steady hands for the general and assisting vascular surgeon that the vein would not be accidently cut or damaged.
-Pray against any significant bleeding or blood clots which are the main risk with the actual surgery.
-Pray for zero infection internally and along the large incision site.
-Pray for initial recovery in ICU to be only one night, for the following days in the hospital and 6 weeks at home to be complication free.
-We would like to be able to continue breastfeeding Owen after the surgery if possible. Pray for details of that relative to pain meds and how to practically maintain milk supply during recovery. Also wisdom to know if and when to let go of that preference if it's in the best interest of Suzanne's health and recovery.
-For strength, stamina and rest for Tim, his mother Joy, Dad Frank, sister Alisa, Suzanne's Aunt Bea, Uncle Jack, cousin Rebecca and others primarily caring for Suzanne, Collin & Owen during this difficult and exhausting stretch of 6-8 weeks.
-Pray that Owen's tummy problems will subside and that he will sleep well and for longer stretches at night.
-Pray specifically for Suzanne's Aunt Bea who had heart complications last month when she was out here from MS. She just had a stint put in to alleviate 95% blockage in one artery and has full release from her doctor to be here, but will still need protection and relief from lower oxygen at our altitude.
-Pray against any dangerous infections or other complications during the rest of Collin's recovery from stem cell transplant. More discouraging news or developments would be very hard right now.
-Pray Heb 12:1-2 for our family, that we will continue to run this difficult race that has been marked out for us with perseverance, fixing our eyes on Jesus...Thank You again for all of your care, concern and support as each step. of this has unfolded.
