My mother-in-love

I posted a link on my facebook page about this, but I know some friends who read my blog and are not on facebook. Here is what I wrote.

My mother-in-law is facing surgery this Tuesday for breast cancer. Receiving news of the cancer was sudden and just a few weeks ago. Today at church I learned about a Hebrew word spelled Hesed. Hesed is a word for God's covenant love used multiple times in the Old Testament. A love that is compassionate, steadfast, never-changing, committed, and completely faithful. What joy this brings to serve a God that has this love for us and knows every detail of our lives. Please be praying that the surgery goes smooth and that all of the cancer will be removed and for decisions to be made for what comes next.

The sweetest in laws anyone could have. I am so thankful to be a part of their lives and to see them living out their faith daily. The Lord is glorified through their lives.
