The other week I went to our zoo with a great group of friends. (By the way, the Colorado Springs zoo is amazing. Caleb & I bought a membership and I'm glad we did).
Over the past year since Caleb & I have lived in the Springs, I've learned a lot about the life of military families. All of these ladies are beautiful mothers and military wives. I know most likely I will have to say good-bye to each one of them over the next few years.

I'm seeing right now another facing the reality of preparing to move in just 5 weeks when they were told a few weeks ago they'd be here in Colorado Springs for another year.
Seen one (many of them actually) have babies here and wishing they could have their parents closer to see their grandbabies more often.
Watch one as her husband works as an air force firefighter on 24 hours shifts off and on.
I've seen one of them waiting for months for her husbands return from deployment.
These are just a few of the girls I've grown to know, love, and respect while in Colorado Springs. There are many more military wives I've met and am so thankful to know them and see these women standing beside their husbands and supporting them while being strong and some days not feeling so strong and loving on their kids. Although some I will not know for half as long as I've known my dear Greenville friends, but it is still just as hard knowing good-byes will come as they move with the Army & Air Force.
Please remember these women and the many other wives and mothers who support our soldiers through all the moving, deployments, long hours away, and lots of sudden changes. You ladies are incredible! So thankful for the times we have together.
