Oh the places we'll go!

When people ask what part of Colorado do we want to move to, we reply with anywhere. To start off living in Colorado it will be wherever Caleb is offered a nursing job. Caleb loves working in the Emergency Room. He spent a year and a half working as a Tech. on a med surge floor then transferred to work in the ER where he's been for a year. He loves the fast-paced environment of the emergency room, and enjoys it because he gets to see different things everyday.

Caleb takes the state's board exam Tuesday March 6th (one week from tomorrow, hooray!). This will license him as a nurse. He is looking online for RN jobs at hospitals in Colorado. We'd love to be within a close drive to the mountains probably in the Fort Collins, Denver, or Colorado Springs area.

Fort Collins area - My cousin Chris and his sweet wife Laura live in Loveland which is a city close to Fort Collins. It would be awesome to live close enough to be able to spend time with them. I wish we would have had time to visit the Fort Collins/Loveland area while we were in Colorado.
Denver- The Denver area is so large, but still very close to the mountains. Caleb, Krista, Nathan, & I drove on US-36 into Denver from Boulder one evening and the expanse that Denver covered was unbelievable. This picture shows just a glimpse of what we saw looking out over Denver. The downtown area was really neat and I'd love to get to spend more time there.

People usually say nursing is a great field to go into because you can always find a job. We'll see if that is really the case right now or if it's harder to get a job as some other nursing graduates have said. An article in The Greenville News wrote the best way to get a nursing job right now is to not limit yourself to what area you want to work and what shift. Although Caleb would love to be in the Emergency Room it is possible he'll have to get 1-year experience working on a different floor before he can get into an ER at a hospital. We are excited to see what job Caleb will be offered and what part of Colorado we will go to first.

Have you visited Colorado or lived there? I'd love to hear any advice or stories about your Colorado experiences?
