Caleb received a phone call last week from a manager at the hospital in Colorado Springs where he has applied for many jobs. She asked if he was still interested in the position on her floor at the hospital and if Caleb would like to come in for an interview. He interviewed Friday morning with her and she asked if he wanted the job! Caleb said he would love to work there. Human resources have called and confirmed him accepting the position and made it official along with giving him information on when hospital orientation will start. The floor he'll be working on is a renal floor which means the majority of patients will be there for kidney related things. Hospital floors usually get overflow also from other floors who don't have any available rooms so he'll see other things as well.
The Lord has blessed him with so much more than Caleb & I even thought he would start out with as a nurse. Caleb is so excited he'll be working in the hospital. He plans to possibly still pursue the position with the Department of Corrections and work PRN (as needed) with them which means he'll probably work 1 or 2 days a month at the detention center/jail. That is still a possibility and updates will come on what he decides about that position. The job is full-time working night shifts which Caleb is great with. He is a night owl who already stays up on average to 3:00 in the morning so he will be great with that. Thankfully, he's had experience working night shifts as a tech in the hospital so he understands what that will be like. It's great that the shifts are 12 hours also because he'll only be required to work 3 nights each week for full-time unless he requests for more and the manager gives him more hours. We are so thankful and excited right now!
