Making Colorado Our Home Sweet Home

We unloaded the moving truck yesterday and the apartment is filled with all of our stuff and boxes. No organization or unpacking has happened yet, as we were ready to just spend time with friends and family. My cousin Christopher drove down from Loveland, CO to help us with unloading the truck. Here are some before pictures of the apartment while we were unloading the moving truck. We are so thankful everything worked out for us to get a 2-bedroom apartment so we have a guest room for when family and friends come to visit.

After unloading we went to a really neat pizza restaurant called Fargo's Pizza. It was a wild wild western theme restaurant in a building that was an old huge Victorian house where the waitresses even dressed in old fashioned dresses and petticoats.
For the evening we went back to our friends' (the Miles) home and enjoyed some ping pong games, badminton in the backyard, and the longest dutch blitz card game with the 7 of us. It has been so nice to spend time and get to know the Miles family. They have been close friends with my Uncle Scott and his family. Betty & Gregory Miles have lived in Colorado Springs for 20+ years and know so much about this area. They have a daughter, Mary, my age and a son Paul who is going into his senior year of college. We are so thankful for all of their hospitality, help, and friendship as we begin this fun Colorado adventure.
